I hear you there! In my case I went through 4 lawyers before I found the one who was willing to "stay the course" with me. It's no easy task to go through litigation. There are many uncertainties. It isn't for anyone who will crumble at scare tactics. Since my case for me was more about the principle to me, I cared more about that then money. All I really wanted was to prove that my rights had been violated. In the end I prevailed. I was validated and the settlement was nice, as well. I do hope that google and vrng will be able to reach an amicable settlement.
