That was my point. Those stocks will all have to do it sooner or later, and give back some of those splits taken during the bubble. It will take many years for any of them to reach former levels, and frankly I doubt that any of them ever will. But the truth of the matter is that to be a serious stock that is sought after by the institutional crowd, reverse splits are in the future of many of those stocks now selling below $5 (and some yet to make it to that category, but are on their way).
The problem is that a stock selling in the $1.50 or $2.00 range sounds cheap, but when you calculate the market cap vs what the companies are able to earn (or lose), against their book value, against sales, or whatever category you choose, they are still far too expensive. They know that is the case, and that is why you have seen few companies doing reverse splits to this point.
