NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Schnitzer Steel Industries Inc. Thursday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $34.4 million, or $1.11 a share, down from a year-ago profit of $37.9 million, or $1.22 a share. Revenue slid in the latest three months to $195.7 million from $204.5 million in the same period a year earlier. Thomson First Call doesn't publish a consensus estimate for the company's results. The stock closed Wednesday at $29.14, down 6.6%.
