Accenture quarterly earnings, revenue jump

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Accenture Ltd. after the closing bell on Thursday reported fourth-quarter net earnings of $229.1 million vs. $183 million during the same period a year ago. On a per share basis, the company reported earnings of $356.6 million, or 38 cents a share, vs. $298.1 million, or 30 cents a share. The Bermuda-based provider of management consulting and technology and outsourcing services posted net revenue of $3.92 billion vs. $3.42. The company also reported revenue including reimbursements of $4.31 billion vs. $3.81 billion. Analysts surveyed by Thomson First Call forecast fourth-quarter earnings of 36 cents a share on revenue of $3.85 billion. Looking ahead, Accenture said it expects first-quarter net earnings of between 32 cents and 34 cents a share on net revenue of $4 billion to $4.2 billion. The company also forecast fiscal 2006 earnings of $1.45 to $1.50 on revenue growth of 9% to 12%.
