600,000 of our fellow military will soon be facing the ravages of PTSD and TBI. We all know this, but what few know, except those of us deeply involved in this mess we call U.S. health care, is that many of these youngsters will not be properly cared for--ever.
We stopped the draft and replaced it with sending our young to 4, 5,6 deployments to the most intense warfare possible-- 24/7 combat, a year at a time, and 5 or 6 years of it in some cases.
I think I read that in WW 2 the average infantryman saw 40 days of combat a year.
Now, certain politicians say they love us, but not quite enough to provide proper health care for all veterans. For reasons that are becoming more apparent, they hate Obamacare.
But the fact is, Obamacare is the only hope we have at fixing this grotesque and cruel injustice.
