Trading is as much an artistic endeavor as it is a science. We all have different styles. I used to swing trade the SMH but now the volume is so light. Even so I would not trade an ETF any different than an individual stock.
Overbought is an RSI (14) approaching 70.
Oversold is an RSI (14) approaching 30.
Be aware of the prevailing trend. Limit counter trend trades to shorter time periods. Be aware of where we are in the stock market cycle.
