PFE’s UBS presentation tomorrow (9am ET) is notable insofar as the speaker is Mikael Dolsten, head of R&D. Normally these talks are given by the CEO or CFO and are quite boring.
Healthcare conferences the past year or two seem to have fewer companies presenting. The Rodman and UBS had a lot less then I remember while (now) it makes sense why Rodman was smaller not sure why UBS is this year. In addition there have been a few less healthcare conferences (because of bk/consolidation).
I don't know if there is a correlation to how much capital has been raised (which seems lower to me but I have no data on it) or if companies have just decided to present less given the prevalence of conference calls and scientific presentations attended/covered by investors/investment banks.
