Besides, the theater roll out should be thought of as just a basic marketing plan for a Jan/Feb VOD/DVD roll out...one that is paid for by the boxoffice. Makes sence to me If your biz plan and expectations are for a few 100k profit per title. (althought the 1.6m fig thrown out does suggest the Co expects a bit more that a few 100k)

Mickey - Theaters do not look kindly to low turnouts. When they have a movie taking up a screen that draws only 9 attendees per showing; That not good for business. How much profit do you think each theater made from showing TITA last weekend? Each theater averaged $800 in ticket sales for the weekend. They split that with HHSE. That's about $135 per day. I hope those people came thirsty and hungry. TITA should be done in theaters in my opinion. Their next theatrical release is coming up soon. Would be nice if they made an attempt to start promoting that one. Who knows, maybe if they push the highly populated Russian cities and sell 50,000 tickets, The Weather Station might be the biggest theatrical release in company history!
