what kurd group do you mean? they kill each other now. I posted a new york times article about it.
some are firmly islamic fundamentalist meaning they hate saddam and they hate the US and depending on which way the wind blows they do not know which to hate more. Some groups are not. there is no Kurds, just groups of warring factions which hate each other , the turks, the US and Saddam, all with good reason.
how about the turkomans and the assyrians?
I would rather have three states, but I am not voting. its the same as kashmir or the palestinian mandate, or afganistan.
to me a balkanization of all these areas is reasonable. the only one "everyone" says is ok is the splitting up of Israel. Afganistan and Iraq is no diffferent. Kashmir is already split but the Pakis will not let it alone. but I do not know the facts on the ground or the reasons for turkeys desires.
150 years ago the US fought against its own balkanization.
wouldnt it be nice if people were taught to live together is OK?
