#275646 RE: Hoofman #275645

Hoof, Neomedia has 74 patents but on this board there is only 1 patent that has been dissected, analyzed and digested, the 048...I call it "the one and only".
I don't think anyone in here (include myself of course) has an understanding of the "complete" patent portfolio reach and scope.

Hoof: Again, there is one patent in all agreements that includes all barcodes. It is the '048 which includes 5,978,773, 6,199,048,7,383,209, 7,6512,6 and 8,131,597. All included in every agreement.

I have no idea why you would want to say NeoMedia only has rights to ONLY certain barcodes. The patent claims make that not true. They have them all.

Find the zero limitations here in the family of '048 patents:

"1. (Currently amended) A method of connecting a user computing device to one of a plurality of remote information computers available for communication over a network comprising:
a) reading with a user computing device a data carrier modulated with an index;"

Would such a carrier not also include 1D codes (UPC), 2D codes (QR) and 3D codes (Micosoft Tag)?
