The 1st Special Operations Contracting Squadron at Hurlburt Field FL intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to AlumiFuel Power Technologies, Inc. They will perform the following modifications to an existing Portable Balloon Inflation System located at Hurlburt Field, FL: Line Item 0001: Add Low Heat Transmission Knob on Top Hatch Modification (Qty:1) Line Item 0002: Desiccant Tube Modification (Qty:1) Line Item 0003: Hardigg Case Drainage Improvement (Qty:1) Line Item 0004: Add Demister/Membrane Dryer Modification (Qty:1) Line Item 0005: Longer Fill Hose to 10 ft (Qty:1) Line Item 0006: Needle Rust Improvement (Qty:1) Line Item 0007: Cartridge Crimping Quality Assurance (Qty:1) Line Item 0008: Add Open/Close Markings on All Petcocks (Qty:1) Line Item 0009: Longer Canister Guide In Reactor Tank (Qty:1) Line Item 0010: Add Detailed Operator & Maintenance Guide (Qty:1) Line Item 0011: Add New Higher Capacity Water Filter (Qty:1) Line Item 0012: Add Lanyards On All Plugs/Caps (Qty:1) Line Item 0013: Flow Meter Replacement (Qty:1) Line Item 0014: Name Tag Markings on All Valves (Qty:1). This award is unrestricted and is under North American Industry Classification System Code 334519 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. This sole source action is being accomplished under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). The government believes AlumiFuel Power Technologies, Inc is the only known source that has the patented, proprietary, commercial product and design expertise to provide these modifications, improvements, and additions to the existing Portable Balloon Inflation System. This notice is NOT a request for quote. However, interested companies shall submit to the contracting officer a brief capabilities statement package (no more than 10 pages in length, single spaced, 12 point font minimum) demonstrating ability to perform the requested services at or before 3:00 PM (central), 13 September 2012. Any information received will only be considered for the purpose of conducting a competitive procurement. The contract award number is FA4417-12-P-0132 in the amount of $13,440.
