A registered geologist is not automatically qualified as a registered mining engineer in Arizona, that's for sure. I assume there may be some pretty clever folks who have both registrations.

Geology and engineering are considered two different fields by the AZBOTR, requiring two different tests, and two different registrations. I do know some pretty smart geologists who cross over into some engineering issues, and vice versa. But registrants are pretty careful not to sign as something they are not.

As far as a link, I guess all I can say is to read the definitions of what geology and engineering (and geologists and engineers) are in the AZBOTR regulations.
