In this exclusive interview with The Gold Report, Morgan shares the logic behind his predictions and identifies several companies set to benefit from the end of the precious metal doldrums.
Comex gold futures prices on Friday rallied sharply, hit a fresh five-month high and are now within easy striking distance of $1,700.00. The precious metals markets took flight late Friday morning following the much-anticipated remarks by Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke at a Fed symposium in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The Fed chief strongly hinted fresh, unconventional U.S. monetary policy stimulus will be implemented at some point. Indeed, he left the door wide open for a fresh quantitative easing initiative to be unveiled at the September FOMC meeting, or at some point in the not-too-distant future. December gold last traded up $32.00 an ounce at $1,689.00. Spot gold last traded up $31.70 at $1,687.50. December silver last traded up $1.05 an ounce at $31.49.
'trader53'..Good Day...As I had mentioned I would be around a bit more... As it seems from my observation and a few 'astute' others that there has been much more 'movement' in the trips than normal... BUT my question ..(one which your longer term position will provide for a better answer is) ..perhaps there is greater movement in this area as a result of an extreme intensity of relentless shorting by a much greater number of hedge funds and similar ilk (Hence NOW ..a much larger number of beat down stocks than ever before) ......I am not sure but I do not believe I have ever seen so much of the pink/otcb money flo purged from the market in quite some time...The market at this point seems crippled due to the accelerating lack of liquidity....Perhaps would this assessment have a current merit greater than what would been in the past considered cyclical or ...'The Norm'...?....SC
