AMD is fueled by far more speculation than INTC or TXN. Investors will tend to look for growth in a company that has an opportunity to outclass their competitors. But if growth becomes limited, shareholders will be happy to look for market share gains. If market share gains become limited, they may turn to something else. I think the warning signs will be visible long before AMD stock actually falls. Unfortunately for AMD investors, they are usually the last ones to see the signs.
