Forgive me as I am no judge of morality. I can't say who should be saved or who should be left to their own demise.
The principle of salvaging a company on the brink of failure should be a noble cause with the understanding that I/we, as the people who would change fate, must effect changes to support a productive future.
That means that the management must be given their collective hat and shown the door!
Or taken under a greater authority with direct supervision. As bankruptcy courts have done for years.
