I suppose it possible that the trend could continue but I believe the petroleum industry is ever growing so doubt our domestic drilling ventures will have much to worry about.
I read something about the Idaho "economic zone" or whatnot. They have the right to move here and grow business regardless so I'm not seeing the significant downside to special zones for them to build facilities.
Assuming they are paying taxes, upholding labor laws and related regulation then it may provide upside. An ignorant opinion without any DD mind you.
