OT: Duly noted. Thanks for the nod in my direction. Better than an upraised middle finger every time. Race is still on: subpenny price on the shares of RaySpoiledMyInvestment before GoodBye Hard releases a testable FPGA? Not much longer to wait until end of December 2005 arrives until we can see if Erwin's cat is alive or not.

How are those Cubs gonna do next year? White Sox seems to in the race. Those Chicago Bears and ex-Chicago Cardinal football teams doing any better in the NFL in 2005?

Looking any better with San Jose State in football this year?

Sorry, I forgot where you attended college and law school. No NCAA intercollegiate competitions at University of Chicago. Does John Marshall have a varsity?

jjz34: I think you are missing my point. Ikanos was able to obtain over $125 million in financing *before* bringing their product to market. The financing *enabled* them to bring their product to market.

The parallel that I am drawing, and I am surprised that you are missing, is that a company that began life about the same time that RINVEI began its claims of a disruptive technology was able to obtain copious financing to bring a product to market for a technology that RINVEI claims is inferior to its own. My contention is that if RINVEI actually had a technology that was indeed superior to everything on the market, they should be able to obtain similar suitable financing.

It is a simple premise, really. I am surprised that you and Sherman are so intent on arguing against it. If you build a better mousetrap, the world will beat a path to your door. It is a tired old adage, but still true.

I fully recognize that this is all circumstantial. However, given the fact that RINVEI refuses to provide us with any more concrete information, it is all we have to go on. This is, after all, a discussion board, and discussing such things is entirely appropriate here. Though circumstantial, the fact that RINVEI cannot obtain sufficient favorable financing for what they claim to be a disruptive, industry-changing technology is telling. I just don't see how you can argue with that.
