Re: I'm trying to develop my exit strategy, can you please elaborate on your above comment with as much detail as possible.
Next year when Intel leapfrogs AMD will the performance gap hold up to the new core AMD will have in 2007? It would be great if you could provide as much detail as you publically can.

This is an investment question and not phishing, right? :-)

Look, if you are really looking for an exit strategy, I would follow the stock up for a little while and wait for it to turn. You'll never time the top, but it's better than selling early and wishing you had held when it hits $30. Something that always amazes me is the heights to which AMD speculators can take the stock. If you already have some, you might as well see how high it goes.

Just don't fall in love with it, because my stance is that the party ain't gonna last much longer. AMD investors love holding the bag long after the stock passes its glory days. Don't let that be you.

As for 2007 products, I don't have any idea what AMD will have, but one thing you can be certain is that Intel won't pull another "Prescott" and help AMD by releasing a highly inefficient micro-architecture. Most likely, in 2007 Intel will have a 45nm or highly tweaked 65nm version of Conroe, which at this point is looking like a fairly strong product. If you want to make competitive assumptions, assume the winner is going to be the one who executes to their roadmap the best. Other than that, there is very little information available.
