Most laughable was "AMD won't hold these gains through next year" !
..what with Fab36 online and new Opterons still coming through like there was no tomrrow.

Intel still doesn't have DCA/Hypertransport.
Without it, they don't even stand a chance IMO - let alone design a new processor family.

I'd agree that with China's 100 mio. internet users currently online - and expanding, there will be room for even Intel to grow.
Don't laugh .. China is a lucky straw for Intel, without this "new" market, there would have been a real danger of Intel sitting on inventory in my opinion !

The roadmaps have been laid out in the open, and it doesn't take an engineer to extrapolate that Intel will not be performance disadvantaged in the next generation.

Correction, Intel has laid out their roadmaps to show what they are doing next year. AMD has been very secretive now that they have the lead. They don't want to give Intel any more info to copy (now that Intel is the cloner).
