I can't predict what the speculators will do to a given stock any more than anyone else here. But in terms of fundamentals, Intel has a huge head start in ramping 65nm capacity on a platform that will be far more performance competitive against Opteron. They also have a strong mobile product with a huge advertising budget and a brand new Digital Home brand. Meanwhile, AMD is eager to ditch their flash division, which is the final group outside of CPUs that could have conceivably offset suboptimal results. They also have a roadmap with absolutely nothing that is interesting or innovative. Besides a new socket, a 65nm process that is most likely late, and a possible quad core move at the end of next year (which will have to compete with the same from Intel), AMD has nothing interesting. You can bookmark me if you want, but I'm telling you that next year will be a whole different ball game.
