The sector just got downgraded. The better question is why AMD is going up. Most likely, it's the short interest that Keith pointed out would soon be expiring. It could also be speculation that they will win more market share over the next couple quarters due to more competitive offerings. Rest assured, though, that it's all short term. AMD won't hold these gains through next year, but in the short term, who knows. If you are a risk taker, you could see how high the market is willing to go. Me: I didn't think they'd even make it this high.
