As long as we are talking about hypotheticals, what if after failing to produce significant ORR, Bavi converted the immune system of the patients from that of H. Sapiens into that of Kryptonians? Since on earth we are in the presence of a yellow sun, the Kryptonian immune system would eradicate the H. sapien cancer cells and produce a 100% cure rate. Would the FDA approve that?
Bad example. Yes, the FDA would approve that because if they didn't Superman would fly over and destroy their headquarters.
Remarks like that may seem appropriate or even funny on the YMB, but the science behind PPHM is certainly not a joke. I'll defer to the esteemed Dr. Gerber to elaborate at the thoracic symposium on the 7th. Until then, I bid adieu to this one-sided frame of mind.
From the link: "Only those abstracts that are deemed to be of high scientific priority and which merit presentation will be accepted."
Wasn't it your great grandfather who said back in 1876: Mr. Ford, the idea that people will be tootin 'round in boxes on wheels doesn't merit further discussion. We will not be investing in your auto-do-whatzit mobile.
