I don't care who is manipulating what or where. That is part of the market in every stock, commodity and financial instrument that trades. The charts filter out that noise...from manipulative analysts, message board fright fests and pumps, trade rags and the like. The only thing that is consistent is the money the company is making, the execution of their business plan, and the objectivity inherent in market data. The rest is just noise.
The charts have served me quite well with SYNC so pardon me if I don't heed your warning about them. I'm 4 for 4 over the past couple months here and I'm green on my 5th trade from my current purchase at $7.75 from last week. And I stand by my posting history, complete with charts, and when I called my buys and sells:
Good luck with your short though. Sometimes it pays to be contrarian, but I wouldn't take that leap of faith the way the chart looks and the way the stock is trading today.
