Yes, but will the Naz take out 2155 this week? I still doubt it, and after initial exuberance, we may take out 2100, and not for just an excursion, this time.

tarado96: rally? yes, but only temporarily. Don't get out to buy champaign because hurricane season still has 2 more months to go, and heating season is on its way. THe light damage on refin facility just likes when gas would reach $5 and you would feel that $3/gallow now is cheap. We expected $5 type damage, but only get $4 type damage but it is very expensive. I bet oil will have a very hard time to get below $60 as far as I can see on the horizon. Got the point?

A sustained rally very unlikely despite drop in oil.

Lower oil and limited damage from Rita will encourage the Fed to continue tightening.

Look for rising rates to choke off any stock rally in a matter of days maybe hours.
