I think this is absolute bull. Fossil fuels are entirely supported by government subsidies. They actually get about 5-10x the amount of subsidies than renewable energies. These are companies that pollute, destroy the planet and ecosystems, and directly hurt our health all while being insanely profitable yet governments give them subsidies!!! What will happen is subsidies will shift from polluting and destructive industries to cleaner energy sources like solar, wind, and geothermal, to help spur growth and job creation. As a result the cost of fossil fuels will go up further pushing people towards green technologies and energy sources further sustaining the industry. After all what is more fair: Give money to highly profitable mature polluting and destructive forces or industry that has massive potential for growth due to its infancy and direct ability to help our planet by making it and us healthier? Its call logic, it will happen.
