Using the logic you suggest, then every person in the world should be given the best medical treatment available at whatever the cost. Nice goal, but utterly impossible from a financial or practical standpoint. We do not live in a perfect world and life in this world is not fair with equal benefits for everyone - nor will it ever be in this era.
Jesus said "the poor you will have with you always" - poverty and all the evils that accompany will never be eradicated. We can only do what we are able to help the poor, insufficient as that may be.
