Got around to reading the 21st Century morning briefing and this is interesting.
Our intelligence source Debka is reporting in their weekly edition that "American and British special forces have begun taking over Iraqi oil fields close to the Kuwait border and around the port town of Basra, in audacious commando operations. These fields account for three-quarters of Iraq's oil output."
Apparently the commandos are encountering little or no resistance. This is big news, as it looks like -- unknown to the world -- the military campaign to topple Saddam's regime in Iraq is already underway. Action is being taken now to seize these oilfields in response to Saddam's directive to blow up these fields upon any American or Turkish invasion.
