the first woman I saw die at Bellvue as a medical student was a 23 year old who had gotten a back office abortion.

I know the anti abortion press states that these things were all exaggerated by the pro abortion people, but it is still the first person I saw die. And I can still see her face now in my memory. Abortion was not legal. And there were not too many antibiotics around. And I do not think abortion should be used as birth control either. It makes mothers crazy. But not allowing it kills them. And sometimes you just do not have the choice to carry a baby to term when you cannot take care of it.

Try talking to the womans family after she died and see how you feel.

If abortion is criminalized, there will be more flights to Europe and Mexico by young women wealthy enough to afford it.
