It was not a comparison, what I tried to convey is that perpetrator of what certain religions consider abomination are differentiated from the act they commit, in old talmudic logic it is called "kal va homer", (light vs harsh) namely, if a murderer (harsh sin) can obtain salvation, then certainly, one committing a much more minor sin, such as homosexuality (light), surely can get salvation.
I am surprised you misunderstood my post as comparing homosexuals to murderers.
