As a subcontractor for ESLT, after all, it is all in the family(KOOR-ELISRA-ESLT group).

ESLT is very busy, Elbit Systems (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT). The impressive thing about the company is the
way its orders backlog rose 11.5% to $2.4 billion. In short, this is an excellent share for a long-term holding, and can
'feed' some to BVR.

On top, ESLT has some problems,
Elbit Systems hiring: 35,000 applied

Evidently a lot of people would like to work for Elbit Systems (Nasdaq:ESLT). The defense electronics company wants to hire 600 people this year and no less than 35,000 have applied.

Elbit Systems has already taken on 240 people this year.

Dalia Gonen, the human resources manager at the company, says the hiring soree is a step up for the company. "Our aim for 2005 is three times higher than our take-on rate in the recent years," she said.

The 35,000 were initially screened by an outside consultant, Gonen explained, who weeded out 1,000. "Of these, 600 were interviewed and 240 were taken on," she said.

Gonen admitted that the best source of new employees was from their existing workers. The company also hires students who eventually become permanent members of staff.

The expansion results from several major contracts. One is the £700 million contract Elbit Systems won jointly with the French company Thales from the British Defense Ministry to supply surveillance drones. Another is an NIS 875 million contract to supply "Digital Terrestrial Forces" systems

With backlog that HUGE, with quick hiring, BVR will enjoy.
Small contracts for ESLT have a huge impact on BVR.
