fuagf -- in part -- obviously, don't have his whole military fighter pilot background/history, which clearly has a lot to do with setting his whole mindset/frame of reference to begin with -- but the lingering and watching, becoming (very) familiar, and then the kill and seeing the aftermath, continuing to linger and watch -- tough not to have a felt sense how that could leave him feeling -- not to mention, it is we, this country, doing this
as well -- the sense of what it means that we, all of us, whole world, have reached and headed down this path (as inevitable as that may have been); vast import beyond just this sort/scope of thing -- where there is, will be, no stopping, no turning back, no return
