"How do you know God didn't "make" or intend for an individual to be gay?... Aren't you being slightly assuming when you claim to understand God's will or intentions....."

I have already answered that question but I will do so again.
Either the Bible is true and tells us about God and His will for us or it is a worthless piece of literature. For the Christian, the answer is that the Bible is true and is to be both believed and obeyed. There are many areas where God's will is not addressed at all or where only inferences can be made, but homosexuality is not one of those areas. God is very specific that the practice of homosexuality is a sin, and an abomination before Him. That obviously precludes Him having "made" someone a homosexual, and puts homosexuality squarely as a behavior, not a genetic trait (as is proved by the case of identical twins, which I mentioned before.)
That is all Christians need to know.
By the way, I do not expect you (or any other non-Christian) to accept the Bible as authoritative, accurate, or true. It is a matter of faith, and for those without that faith the Bible is just another piece of literature where you can pick and choose what you like and reject the rest. That is not the case for a Christian.
