"Regardless, of your moral view of homosexuality, a 6 year old does not make such lifestyle choices. I know, because I have a 6 year old, and older children. First Graders do not choose sexuality.... A more feminine nature was innate."
I never said that the child sat down one day and after much thought decided to be effeminate. That is ludicrous. I do believe that something in his early environment promoted that behavior and that he was not born that way.
"I fail to see how the sexual behavior of consenting adults, within the privacy of their own homes is any of my concern? The day I begin to concern myself with the private sexual behavior of any of my neighbors is the day I begin to suspect that I have gone a bit neurotic."
I also do not inquire into the private lives of my neighbors or anyone else. Unfortunately in today's society it is not left in the bedroom but is flaunted in public not only in public displays of affection but in "gay pride" parades and a myriad of other public demonstrations of their "lifestyle." If it were left in the bedroom no one would be forced to respond to it because we would not even be aware of it, but when it is forced upon us and we are told that we are to "accept it as normal", I go with what God teaches in the Bible - homosexual behavior is an abomination.
"And my kids never, ever have a right to hurt and/or unduly disrespect another child, intentionally or unintentionally."
I agree that hurting another individual is wrong, but that does not mean we are not to acknowledge that certain behavior is wrong in the sight of God, be it homosexuality, lying, adultery, greed or whatever.
"FWIW, mlsoft, my kids are thriving, inspite of a more "liberal" upbringing. They are really good kids... Thank goodness!! And FWIW, teaching kids Biblically sanctioned bias against another human being is particularly "sinful", imo. :)"
Glad to hear your children are doing fine, and I have no doubt that they are good kids. But to teach Biblical precepts is a must for anyone who is a committed Christian. Even you should see the logic behind that.
