Too bad the pre-melt that could handle large blocks of condensed plastic didn't pan out.

Or the Hot Tap Residue remover that could remove residue without shutting down the machine.

shredding plastic maximizes throughput....more surface area means plastic melts and vaporizes faster...moreover shredded plastic is easier to store and can be stored packed reducing the amount of air pockets in storage containers
