That wasn't their fault but Michelin. Montoya and also Villeneuve, previous Cart standouts, do not dominate F1 which shows the general quality of the drivers. Indy was undoubtedly a big own goal where egos prevented everyone from seeing the bigger picture, hopefully such an event will never happen again and with an AMD supercomputer on the job of producing better overtaking design rules things should only get better.
The only other regret this year is that Maclaren-Mercedes along with Michelin have not produced a reliable enough car to give Kimi Raikkonen the World Championship his talent truly deserves :-(.
