Eltp has good technology or else the USPTO would not have granted ELTP the patent for all opioids. Purdue walked away from Elite's technology after expressing interest and looking at what Elite was bringing to the table. They walked away because they understood the steep mountain Elite would need to climb with Eli 216 and made more sense to not have an abuse resistant tech on the market at that point in time.
