Commons being priced at 2.90 is a whole lot better than some random number like 1.90, because it's not uncommon to see a pps trade down to what an offering price is.

2.90 works.

(note: Current pps at eod on 7/10/12 was 2.98)

I wonder how long this will take to close?

That's another thing worth watching.

Good indication is when an offering gets snatched up quickly.

Beazer Homes USA, Inc. (BZH) announced today that it is proposing to issue $275 million aggregate principal amount of Senior Secured Notes due 2018 (the “Notes”) in a private offering that is exempt from the registration requirements of the Securities Act of 1933 (the “Securities Act”).

The Company intends to offer the Notes within the United States to qualified institutional buyers in accordance with Rule 144A and outside the United States in accordance with Regulation S under the Securities Act. The Company intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to fund or replenish cash that is expected to be used to fund the redemption of its 12% senior secured notes due 2017.
