I dunno why you keep saying the trading pool doesn't look like it's getting smaller. Sure as hell does, to me. Today was the second highest volume day in the last 12 sessions and it didn't even hit 20M. There were a helluva lotta 28M-43M days there for awhile.
The float is definately tightening up. I'm just not sure it's in retail hands. Keep in mind, this manipulation is being done to build on an already large position, and they're doing a damn good job of frustrating people right outta their positions.
Smart money is buying and holding, and the smart manipulator is doing the exact same thing, for the most part. I saw a good number of sells today that didn't affect the bid, suggesting someone has an MM working for them.
