Again it is this type of ideology that causes the mainstream to believe Evangelical and/or Born Agains are intolerant....
from a biblical perspective, one is never "born" a Christian
Ergo "Born Again"??... So if Mainehiker says he was "born a Christian", we should not believe him??.. Who are we to challenge another's belief in who they are? Challenging is not "divinely" arrogant??..
By the above logic, the baby I referred to is NO Christian either? Than what is he??.. And if his parents believe he is Christian, and his Church has welcomed him as Christian (and us as Jews!!) who are you to say otherwise? Seriously?
Hypothetically - If I say I'm a Buddhist because I believe all that Buddhists believe, who are you to say I am not Buddhist, or Hindu, or Sikh, or anything else for that matter?
FWIW, Conservative Christians never fail to cite the "literal" Word to justify their ideology, but the Messianics believe the integrity of the NT Word has been "corrupted" thru out history - in an effort to "Christianize" the Word. I'm not saying they are correct, but they certainly were First.... If they are correct, how does one apply a "literal" interpretation to the NT?
(I am not challenging the NT in theory, or taken as a whole. Nor am I challenging Christianity - at all..)
