Question: Has any CTML machine, in clinical use, been stopped/discontinued for not performing correctly?
For me, the answer to this question creates infinite possibilities for success going forward if the answer is a definitve NO.
Stoppage and/or removal due to unfulfilled test cases and/or unfulfilled sales have far too many unknowns as to why it happened. So long as it wasn't due to CTML failure, the reason(s) could be attributed to the host. Perhaps they did a less than adequate job attracting users. Perhaps there were unstated financial motivations that led to it being under used or the sales being canceled. Maybe communications between the host and IMDS were flawed from the outset leading to a break down and eventual removal or canceled sales.
So long as the reason in any attempted case study was not due to unsatifactory performance by the CTML itself, I give the unit a decent chance of reaching its potential (in terms of sales and its medical contribution world wide).
I desperately hope that the CTML becomes a world wide success because of what it is and what it might achieve as a medical instrument. And, yes, its success will equate to my long term investment being a success as well: a win win scenario.
