I take it the $79 was a BMRN rumor? I haven't heard Takeda in the rumor mill for BMRN yet. So far I have heard these (in no particular order): SHPGY BIIB SNY AZ GSK
I have BMRN in my portfolio I would prefer they stay alone but at the right price I wouldn't be too upset especially with the time value of money and all. Its a bit of a risk but I think peak value could actually turn on Pompe data (GALNS is obviously very important). If it is quite good and analysts get excited about it they could start imagining them taking significant share from Myozyme/Lumizyme.
