Another strange scenario is that Peregrine is treating BP the same way they are treating their shareholders. No information. Just what one can glean from obtuse statements at shareholders meetings. Just another way to keep the industry at arms length while data matures.
Shorters can't short you to death if they don't have the full story, too much risk. Aggressive companies can't manipulate the system so they can steal your company if they don't know what's in the pot. Little companies get eaten all the time if they possess the "real thing", what better way to protect it than to confuse the hell out of the market.
I think everyone's in the same boat with this company, investors, wall street, BP, and the hedge funds. Very little reliable information and a series of confusing signals by management and the board of directors.
Only those watching the science have faith, the rest require proof before they drink.
In some sick way I view this as a positive. Go figure!
