Wow, a busy 5000 post thread here. I'll just weigh in here briefly.

1) I believe we should not go into Iraq (or any country) without reason of substantial iminent threat to ourselves or our 51st State of Israel, or as world policemen either (ie, them or any country going over their respective borders militarily by ground or air..). Nor should any other country. Let's lead by example....at least going forward - because our history certainly has a few holes in it.

2) Furthermore, if the administration decides to go in without the backing of SC, I fear we will have played perfectly into AQ's hands (via the most recent audio tape)....and reduce the potential sympathetic ears of the world into a shrugging of the shoulders upon the next event. He/they want division with great divide (all US foes, whether friends of theirs or not need apply), and I sense any forthcoming target(s) will not include the lands of governments siding with the no war theme.
