No one asked me!

And I would protest, if I had the time. But not against the war!

I would protest the war protesters.....if I wasn't busy busting my but, raising my family, paying my taxes, so that the lazy people can get their handouts from the government.......and go protest??? Hmmmmm!

I liken Saddam and Bin to a drunk driver. Now if I was a cop and spotted this guy at 3 am, weaving all over the road, obviously drunk, do I ask myself "Well, he hasn't hurt anyone yet, should I pull him over? He might make it home."

Or do I pull him over because he is obviously a danger?

Seems a no brainer to me. BWDIK?

Sly, do you know how the question on the survey was posed?

Because you and I both know that you can ask a certain question and derive another result..

ie.

Question: Would you rather the US have the UN's approval before going to war.
Result: 65% say YES of course, 35% say NO, opposed to war.

2nd question

Would you favor the US going to war if the majority of the nations feel war is justified, but the Security Council blocks the move? Or, would you approve the war with Iraq without the UN's approval but with approval of NATO?

You see, its all in how the question is worded, so unless you know the EXACT wording of the survey question, you cant rightfully concur because 65% of Americans say they would RATHER have the approval of the UN before war does not mean that those same would NOT accept a war without UN approval. It may just mean those 65% would RATHER have UN approval.

It seems to me that the security of the United States should not rest ONLY with the UN, but hopefully with the full cooperation of the UN. If they choose to deflect or neglect pertinent information so as to NOT jeopardize their own interests, so be it. Would not ask them to do anything other than protect their own interests. But do NOT ask us to jeopardize our interests or citizens because your interests conflict. Basically, you do what you have to do and we will do what we have to do. Until America gets over this Politically Correct state of mind whereby we are expected to act according to 1 set of rules and others act via a different set of rules, we will ALWAYS be at the mercy of others opinions to shape our foreign policy.
