I hope you do realize that, "climate science" today is a little like "Aryan biology" in 1933-45's Germany, and "Scientific Marxism" in the former soviet bloc. Many books were written in those fields, and thousands of opportunists built careers in them with millions of followers at one time or another.

None of their theories can be tested through scientific methods. Most of the participants advance theories and models based on a much more virulent feedback mechanism called: government funding, made available by coercive taxation and distributed by bureaucratic "concensus." It's an ideology of the (collectivist) gun barrel, not any enlightened thinking or real scientific discovery at all.

There is a legit branch of science called "Meteorology." Meteorology methods, models and predictions can be tested in a timely manner using scientific methods. In contrast, much of today's "climate science" is not science at all, but political pseudo-science like "Scientific Marxism" and "Aryan Biology."

Government spending (and Church spending when the Church was government-sponsored and coercive) tends to bring out the worst opportunists and fraudsters. Much of the "climate science" is in effect a new-age state-sponsored church.

Guess how much the "climate scientists" are paid to advance their chicken little agenda?

http://climatequotes.com/2011/01/08/how-can-climate-scientists-spend-so-much-money/

That's over $2.5 Billion in 2011 alone! About 2000 times what you accuse him of being paid by the oil industry in his multi-decade career. "Climate science" is a massive corruption scandal indeed.

Ya Know....

About those 97% scientists and chicken little.....

Chicken Little has a rain drop fall on his head and runs around crying "The Sky Is Falling!".

97% of scientists see the future seal level rise of a meter in the next century and run around claiming it is "man made!".

But then other researchers admit that sea levels have risen at a rate of 3.7 feet per century for the last 10,000 years.

Man didn't do that. Look at all the links I posted in the post you are answering to.

I have no link but I would bet that 97% of the scientists in about 1200 would have said the earth is flat -- so many cautioned crew for Columbus that they were going to fall off the surface of the earth --

What was the fraction of Einstein vs the scientific community when he said time stops at the speed of light --one right to how many wrong ?

gosh, who can calculate the number -- 97% is not the answer -- 97% is not the answer on MMGW
