how do you achieve what some would like ,without creating "Paquet-ism"?

Great term that! Paquetism. It should from here on be the word that means self interest BS.

The success of the board is dependent on honesty and transparency. This cannot really be legislated but it can be delt with by a strict standard of 0 tollerence of self serving posts which do not comply with the standard of information only as apposed to emotion pumping. If it is a day trade state so at the entry point. If it is a swing trade state so at the entry point. I don't really see how that can be difficult. Pumping with several posts urging others to get on board bla bla bla is an absolute NO! That's how I see it working. In other words we have a no pumping rule. One post is sufficent re the entry point and if momo is building then a heads up. Any more than that would triger a pumping penalty.

Chief:

Here's one problem and one possible solution. At the close on Wednesday I posted a buy on MAE. Now I planned to sell yesterday when up .11 but it only got up .10 and I was greedy and wanted that extra penny to cover the commission. If I get stopped out because it tanks today or Monday fine I will post that and be okay under the rules. But if it loses momo and just goes sideways past closing Monday then it's longer than three days. Now due to the activity here, it would just be lost and I don't think anyone else would care, except that the poster may want a record of the sell of what has become a swing trade.

If there was a parallel thread, then I could post the link to my original purchase next Tuesday or later and discuss the fundamentals of why it became a swing trade and then my sell whenever it occurs.

The same rules would apply, no OTCBB or VSE etc. One extra rule would be that there would be no buys. I should rather say opening and closing positions for the short sellers here.

If someone wants to swing trade and put up with the pumpers and dumpers they can start their own thread in the free zone. If it goes okay, they may attract you to post some of your longer term holds and thoughts on fundamentals there. For myself, I'd like you to just keep on doing what seems to be working for you so far. Therefore no buys posted here that have the intention of being swing trades.
