It has always been my understanding that keeping the oil in the USA in the ground was a pretty good long-term solution. Taking it out now is really pointless we can buy ourselves a few years but we can not solve the problem.
Many environmentalists are realizing now that nuclear options are the best solution at the moment.
However you can bet that you or anybody else will not appreciate it if we build them next door to you. That is not a conservative or liberal problem that is a fact of life.
Ranchers here in CO are furious that the mineral rights to their properties where auctioned off without their consent. Phil Ashutz had the state environmental laws changed to get rid of a pig farm near his estate just east of here.
The declaration is a carefully considered statement on the biblical call to reduce pollution and environmental degradation and the harm they cause to people and the rest of creation. Since the day we released it, hundreds of evangelical leaders in North America have expressed their agreement with the principles of the declaration by signing on.
Let me get right to the point: when it comes to endangered species, too many good Christian folk still don't get it...To extinguish a species is to literally curse what God blessed (Gen. 1:22)
You've been Left Behind, mate. Some would say it's hardly a coincidence Katrina was sent to stir up the most polluted waters in America and disrupt the flow of petroleum. It appears G-d is talking - and that you aren't listening.
You're just giving one explanation that has contributed to higher prices. That's all it is, one explanation of why prices are where they are. The one explanation you pick of course is the one you deem the so called liberals responsible for.
You still haven't explained to me why you feel so entitled to lower prices? The market will take care of it in time. In fact, slowing the price rise will just make it take longer for market forces to do their work. Until then, you'll just have to pay for it (I know you hate that).
