I will on occasion have an ETF in the ports.

BGR being one of those and it pays a nice dividend -however I always took those in cash....never ave'd down and never reinvested the div.

At some point the gains in the PPS can outweigh the potential of future dividends so that's when I liquidate an ETF and then wait for a new entry to start the process over again.

I have never owned a DRIP. :)

I have quite a few zero coupon bonds that on occassion get called early. They are double tax free - which is great. I like those.
Those get moved into stocks once they get called or kept in cash depending on my mood and the market.

What mutual funds do you own? Once upon a time I had quite a few Janus funds. A long, long time ago.
