Hi Stockmine. I think bonds are way overbought now and not likely to offer much unless recession is definite. I cashed mildly levered long bond funds for a 19% short term gain today. I haven't traded GLD in several years, preferring to let a 30% position in PRPFX play goldstuff and energy stuff for me with a bond cushion. Goldis on a technical buy off deep horizontal support and a weekly stochastic W, and the XAU is on a buy after being trashed. I might nibble goldstocks if a retest holds, but a recession would trash goldstuff as well. Potential worsening of the eurozone and China are 400lb gorillas that could further upset stocks and commodities. Still, technicals are technicals and I might try. Nasdaq could manage a technical buy here, but price/breadth/sentiment and market history would fit better with a summer rally failing quickly to lead to a better breadth bottom in the Aug-Oct time frame.
