>>but scaling in and out is the way I have always played the core stocks and it works best for me that way. I am not smart enough to know exactly what the market will do so I just stick with my program.<<
Mlsoft, That's where I am and how I play my core positions. I just hate leaving money on the table. In some cases I thought we would have a good enough rally to get back in at higher prices but that rally has b=never come.
Daytrading I trade QQQ a bunch. However, samething there,. Once I cover at support it just drifts down lower making it hard for re-entry. The ups and downs have been hardly enough to trade. Well, no one ever said it was easy. Some rep called me from Schwab the other day. Said unlike several years ago she seldom gets to talk to daytraders anymore. Said most are gone. It was funny she called to ask what I was going to do with all my cash and if I needed any help. I guess she just had a snap shot of some point where I happened to have a bunch of cash because i hardly ever have high cash levels for long. Get this, she told me the time to invest that cash is when stocks where on sales as they are now. LOL! Now I'm back to higher cash levels and pondering my next step.
